What makes me different

I will be honest; I am not going to be for everyone. I am for those seeking an empathetic listener who is kind while giving tough love. I am a lifelong learner who has a passion for wellness education and staying fit at any age.  I was cut from the volleyball team three years in a row during junior high.  My 8th grade track coach (who was also my health and science teacher) told me I looked like a beached whale running one day at track practice. My family doctor put me on a 1000 calorie per day diet plan when I was in the 4th grade. I went on so many fad diets that I lost track.  I have genuinely enjoyed exercising since I was a child.  I have been a teenage mom, divorced mom, remarried mom, grandmother, and a registered nurse for 32 years.  My motivation for my business is to help educate and coach people toward better health.  Health is not just a number on a scale. I want to work with you and help you discover what health is for you.

My services include personal training (we start where you are!) and nutrition coaching.  I am not functioning in the role of a nurse, although I have a master’s degree in nursing education and a passion for teaching others about health and wellness.  I do not give medical advice or any kind of healthcare services.  Before you start any services with me, you need to check with your medical provider to make sure it is okay to start any exercise plan. I am not a registered dietitian or nutritionist.  I only provide education on nutrition and can guide you in setting up your own meal plans.
